Types of Hugs

Our most favourite things to feel love is probably hugs. So let us explore how to hug properly and which hugs are to be used for which occassion. Here are some teachings to you and hope that you will be able to express yourself successfully.
First of all, I'm going to point out some hugging no-no's

The one hander:

Never use this hug, ever. Unless it's the kind of person no-one wants to hug

The 'I dont know how close I should get'

If you dont know how close to get to that person, don't hug them. If they expect a hug, give them a normal hug ( for advice see below)

The "too much"

Pretty self explanatory, too much passion, too much squeeze, too much of everything.

Different Hug Types:

Now that you know what I consider bad hugs, I will tell you what I think are appropriate hugs.

From a friendly hug to a passionate squeeze, hugging is the universal language of love, comfort, and friendship. Read through this list of different types of hugs and pick a few to try with your sweetie. If you have an different type of hug that you'd like to see here, submit it and we'll add it to the list.
More Hug Types:
1
'I Love You' Hug
A close cheek-to-cheek hug that says "I Love You" even more with an added kiss on the lips. Body pressed against each other and you feel the warmth, the closeness and the tenderness. Use your hands and slide across the back firmly to give more supportive rub. Reserve these for your partners only.
'I Want You Now' Hug
A close hug with a bit of rubbing and grinding. Some squeezing of the shoulder and chest with your arms while in the hugging position. Top it up with a few kissed and drive your partner to cloud 9.
Big Bear Hug
Pull your partner in really, really, really close, put your arms completely around them, and squeeze tight. SqueeZE!!! You probably will use this when you really miss the person or when you are parting at the airport.
Butt Squeeze Hug
A sexy, passionate hug. Pull your partner in close, lift your leg around their legs and give their butt a passionate squeeze.
Ecstatic Jump-n-Hug
Run at your partner and jump into their arms with excitement! Guys, learn to receive these in times of built up anticipation!! Buff up your muscles and catch your lady securely in your arms.

Friendly Hug
Put your arms lightly around your partner's shoulders and give a gentle squeeze. No chest / leg / much shoulder contact for initial dates if you intend to hug.
Group Hug
A hug involving multiple people - family or friends - where you all put your arms around one another. Guys, make sure that your hands and arms are no where near the sensitive areas or the ladies will think that you are taking the chance. Never give others that impression! If you happen to brush by the areas, if you did not realise it at the moment, either say sorry if accident occur or pretend nothing happened at all so she will think you did not even notice it. She'll probably let it go.
Half Hug
A quick wrap, lightly touching your partner where your arms only go halfway around (hence, half a hug).
Hello & Goodbye Hug
A quick, semi-close hug paired with a kiss on the cheek.
Hug of Joy
A semi-close hug with excitement and movement that often times includes a bit of excitement jumping. Guys, make use of the opportunity to use this during celebrations like New Year's Countdown, Birthday celebrations and Christmas. You'll never know when else you have have that first hug with your crush if you are a really shy person.
Snuggle Hug
Usually works best when sitting on a couch, etc. Drape your arm around your partner's shoulders and snuggle up in close! Find yourself a comfortable positioin and relax together.
Spoon Hug
While not normally thought of as a hug, the 'spoon' is essentially your arms wrapped around your partner -- a hug! While lying in bed on your side, pull your partner close and wrap your body around theirs in a 'spoon' position.
Sympathy Hug
Pull your partner close and lay their head lightly on your shoulder as you give their back a light rub.
Tree Hug
Find a large tree (perhaps while picnic-ing), and each partner wrap their arms around the tree to meet the other partner's hands.

Remember hugging rule number 1: a firm hug is a good hug, just dont strangle the person your hugging.

  1. The Side Hug
One of the most relaxed types of hugs among all, it is also called ‘Buddy hug’ and performed between best friends and siblings. People often spread arms over the shoulder or breast, when they are in a good mood. It is not romantic but sweet enough to make your partner feel like you care and enjoy their company.
